Stains, cracks and imperfections of our daily environment, Stains & Ashes explore thoses elements often ignored, by transforming them into sculptures, openings, or drawings.
The book invite us to penetrate in a universe where the ordinary became occasion to contemplate.
Far from searching the perfect sharpness, Ola Rindal embrace the blur and the abstraction to express a distance, a incapacity to grasp the reality fully– as a memory that is fading or a fragment of subconscious.
Ola Rindal is a Norwegian photographer, currently based in Paris, France, and frequently returns to Fåvang, Norway. His work, imbued with a minimalist and poetic aesthetic, explores the themes of nature, everyday life and interior landscapes, offering an intimate and contemplative approach to the image.
