JUST AN IDEA - WASTED YOUTH

Rooted in punk and skate culture, wasted youth is one of many projects from japanese graphic artist, Verdy. Taro, among wasted youth’s skate team members, takes on an interpretation of the collective through his lens. His images show the joy and ennui of friends and everyday life throughout his travels.

Verdy is a graphic artist from Osaka, Japan who currently resides in Tokyo. He is best known for his iconic projects Girls Don't Cry, Wasted Youth, his panda-rabbit character Vick, and most recently, Visty. Verdy has worked with brands such as Nike, Human Made, Instagram, Levi’s, Louis Vuitton, Dover Street Market and more. In 2021, he entered the contemporary art world by having his first solo show at Takashi Murakami’s gallery, Kaikai Kiki in Tokyo. Taro is a skater/photographer from South Osaka, Japan. He is an original member of the Wasted Youth skate team.
